Hi Marsha,
Suppose I say, "Because of the habit of sq thinking that God isn't real,
awareness of God has been ignored and almost lost. You can, though, see
through your though sq habit to ???"
Doesn't make much sense, does it?
Please understand I do not deny the experience of DQ that "stops you in
your tracks.". It's just not something I experience every day. Nor do I
deny a mystic experience of a transcendent reality, nor any experience that
profoundly affects someone, whether it's claimed to have come from God or
not. While Pirsig is a devout atheist, let us not forget his observation
that: "The Metaphysics of Quality identifies religious mysticism with
Dynamic Quality." Again, not something I experience every day.
