Arlo,
I'm just picking knits for conversation mostly, exploring some ideas. I wonder
if for example that a school of fish respond to stimuli of biological symbology.
visual symbols of shadow and form in this perpective instinct is symbol
recognition
but I understand your meaning with purposful manipulations of those symbols,
it's what makes jokes funny, it's inducing experience via symbology for a
purposful
intent which as you say, is a highly recognizable trait in human societies.

on a quiet saturday morning

going through crisis depravation.

[Ron]
I have a difficult time imagining a time when any life form did not have shared
expereinces...

[Arlo]
Well, they were shared in the sense that other biological entities were
co-present, but they were not "shared" in the sense of a common symbolic
representation of that experience.
