I was already interested in Pirsig when I picked up Art and Physics. To me
it was fascinating because it offered such amazingly supportive evidence
for the evolution of DQ along classic AND romantic lines. That is, when you
have such differently oriented people coming to similar conclusions it
points to a common guiding spirit or force.

With all the free server space out there, it seems like it'd be easy to
sign up for myspace or somesuch and link to it. The difference between
hosting and linking these days is virtually invisible. Speaking of which,
is there a link you could point me to that I could view these paintings
shining with DQ? I'd also like to see some of your work.

My wife is an artist also. She does commissioned portraits of pets and
children and my walls are festooned with her work which I really like. Of
course, the subjects on my walls are MY children and my pets so I probably
enjoy them more than a stranger would, but I came up with a thought
experiment: What if my wife's art was to become extremely valuable in the
future and a billionaire spent all his fortune on them? What is the
functional difference then in his life and mine? We both enjoy art. He
spends money and I get it free. Is there any advantage then to being rich?
