There is a website for a 2007 conference at Harvard Divinity School entitled
"William James and Josiah Royce a Century Later; Idealism and Pragmatism in
Dialogue" which contains streaming media of scholars reading their papers so
you don't have to do any reading. I like to listen as I drop off to sleep.

Thanks for the link, John. I think you really found a gem there and would
encourage everyone to take a look. I just discovered that one of the speakers
was Dr. Sandra Rosenthal, who lives here in the Denver area now. I've taken a
couple of classes with her husband, a retired physicist, and she has been a
guest lecturer in my classes twice. She was also one of the editors of the text
book assigned in David Hildebrand's course on Pragmatism. She's also the former
President of the Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy. Anyway,
her talk at the Harvard Divinity School explains Radical Empiricism far better
than I ever did. I'd encourage everyone - especially Krimel - to check it out.
One of the major themes in her talk is the richness, thickness, and overflowing
nature of experience and it seems she performs and enacts this richness even as
she speaks about it. She's like an intellectual freight train; huge volumes of
meaning just keep rolling out of her. Cornel West is a participant too. He's
usually a kick in head. McDermott is probably worth watching too. He's kind of
a big deal in the world of John Dewey studies.
Anyway, thanks again.
