[Marsha] 'The self is a thought-flow of ever-changing, interrelated and interconnected, inorganic, biological, social and intellectual, static patterns of value responding to Dynamic Quality.'
Don't you like the definition of self I use? If not, why not? [Krimel] You mentioned my aesthetic objection already. I think what I don't like about corporate mission statements is that they are constructed so that there is no possibility of disagreement with them. They seek to answer within themselves every possible grounds for objection. What you seek to achieve by splitting; I would address by lumping. The self is a Mind/Body In much the same way that An electron is a wave/particle. Or music is rhythm/tone Or green is blue/yellow Or a shadow is light/dark Or a traditional marriage is a Man/Woman This is exactly what the MoQ states. There is this thing. I don't know what it is. If I look at it this way it is static/yin. Over here, it is dynamic/yang. Quality is in The Way We see them blending. The Self is a Mind/Body. It is a whole greater than its parts, But utterly dependant on their summation. Tell you what, a friend of mine showed me this picture on the internet the other day. How many faces and images you see? The big skull on the left is pretty obvious. I see a big demon on the right and lava bubbling in the lower right. In the lava are faces and silhouettes looking up at a panorama of aliens and ghosts. Just left of center is an infant bathing is a stream but if you zoom in you can see it is being tended by a Hellboy and behind them is a giant bald head with pointy ears and hollow eyes. It is a hi-res fractal Rorschach Test 50 light years across. Chaos and consciousness on a cosmic scale. Somehow blending into something else... But see for yourself... http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap090524.html Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
