Craig and Platt --

[Platt]:
Pirisg's explication of the MOQ is written in SOM.

[Craig]:
True enough. If Pirsig had said these subjects & objects were
the ultimate reality, it would have been SOM writing.
But as he made it clear, that QUALITY is the ultimate reality,
it is MoQ writing.
Basic MoQ.

We all live, speak and write in an S/O reality. Yet, as Craig notes, Pirsig posits (theorizes) a QUALITY (DQ?) reality. As the author of Essentialism, I posit an ESSENCE reality. Does this mean that, except for the names of our respective realities, Pirsig and I have an absolute or ultimate reality in common?

How do Pirsigians feel about this? Or do they not regard undifferentiated Quality as their primary Reality?

Just curious,
Ham
