as i was saying.........
whilst i was staying with susie i became friends with a woman called cheryl,
who worked part-time for her. cheryl was very different from susie. at first i
thought she was quite diffident but really this was just in relation to susie.
cheryl was the same age as suse but very gentle and unassuming. she obviously
cared deeply for susie but where susie was brusque cheryl was accommodating.
it took me a couple of weeks to begin to appreciate her wisdom. but gradually
it became apparent, and eventually i sought out her advice directly.
cheryl had been devoted to a spiritual path since she was in her teens. when
her friends began boozing and partying she went to live in an ashram. at first
i prejudged her as a new age cliche...how wrong i was.
the first intimation i had was when i first talked to her at length. susie was
away and i was looking after the farm alone for a few days. cheryl came in to
do some work and we ended up talking for an hour or so. at first i thought i
was just being cordial...eventually my ego subsided enough for me to enjoy her
presence properly.
still it wasn't til i had a bit of the stir-craziness going on that i rang
cheryl and asked if i could visit (she lived only a mile away); she acceded and
i had a remarkable afternoon with her.
cheryl did my cards, at my prompting. the reading was profound and i remember
feeling tingles as she laid it on me.
without going into depth a lot of what susie helped reveal has already come to
pass... with unnerving precision. perhaps one day i will share with you guys
the specifics...suffice it to say it was the most terrifying experience of my
life.
because of the reading i have been able to integrate and understand the
experience....enough to retain my sanity. when cheryl talked to me the chat was
secondary (i realise now); all the time she was sending me love by grasping my
attention (at first i just thought she talked a lot).
and then there is lisa.
after my terrifying ordeal in cairns i was fortunate enough to be rescued by my
friend ana and her mentor lisa.
ana i have known for a few months. she is my age, a newly free woman after her
3 kids have grown up and are now spending time with their father. lisa, who is
the woman who delivered ana's twin boys, lives on the land near kuranda, 30
mins from cairns, in the mountains. she goes barefoot, is a tireless help to
many aboriginal women and their families, and is instrumental in most things
dealing with permaculture, sustainable agriculture, seed saving in the
tablelands area.
i spent two nights with ana and lisa and this time, by the campfire and at a
film night she organised, grounded me after i had been shown the dangerous
power of my own mind in cairns two nights before.
lisa is of indeterminate age...perhaps 50, perhaps 65. she exudes wisdom and
love. she has been camping on her land, cooking food on an open fire and
collecting water from the wild river her land borders for the last two years.
kuranda is a consiousness hot spot. the indigenous folk here are obviously more
respected and represented than elsewhere. it was here, over the last two weeks,
that i for the first time experienced the natural and disarming generosity of
spirit these embattled folk still retain.
lisa helped me realise/remember that suffering is relative and life is not
necessarily predicated on strife. life is always drama enough to evolve its
partcipants, whether we enable a golden age or no. the learning continues,
indeed it only becomes deeper when the superficial vicissitudes borne of human
ignorance cease to occupy the bulk of our attention.
lisa was pure; that is the word. she had become a vessel. she is a clear prism.
i cannot explain what a humbling experience it is to be with a person of such
heart. indeed it is daunting...the ego reacts negatively to such a
presence....it is a narcissistic affront.
it is only through a sort of abasement that one is able to genuinely commune
with such people...and please do not take this as being some sort of
submission/subsubservience. rather it is a discipline. it requires continual
focus....so that any reactive self-reference is ignored.
we all talk about lofty and very important things...here especially. this list
*is* a great way of anchoring, and progressing higher levels of consciousness
in the world...but those that take the full responsibility upon
themselves....these folk that live the truth as well as describe it....it is
these folk that make you realise that heaven really is inside us...it makes you
realise that jesus (and many others like him) lived and was a vehicle for the
'miraculous' (a miracle being some occurrence that we are not sophisticated
enough to explain).
it makes you realise that the future is written in mud, and that mud becomes
clay and then stone. in other words fate and free will coexist. there are
somethings we cannot avoid perhaps, but there is always more than one future.
it is not a question of 'if' but 'when'. change will be effected by us or
effected upon us depending upon the conscious acts of us all. it is fucking
daunting....but it is also liberating. the collective consciousness (mythos)
manifests reality, consciously or unconsciously. there is no 'away' to run to.
manifestation. we have known the score all along. the magician card - le
bateleur - says it all. this is ancient knowledge....this is the answer to all
conspiracy theories. it begins with thought...with the word.
how do we express it in moq terms? maybe this is the import and purport of the
intellect that we have ignored thus far. each new static level redifines the
lower ones. recreates reality? or is this just the privelege of the
intellectual level?
the intellectual level effects what campbell calls 'creative mythology'; that
is intellect enables us to directly, consciously, participate in our own
(spiritual) evolution.
this is what 2012 is about. this is why the mayans gave no glyph, no totem to
this coming age...it is the end of time....the end of history as ineluctable
process and the beginning of conscious co-creation...
