By editing I was more thinking about the look of the posts. The main reason for the pesky "long liners" (for instance) is I believe the Window Mail, Outlook Express, HotMail ...and such cheap services. If I had my way all would have been (forced) to use more advance programs. They are for free in all sizes, my own "Pegasus" for instance that has the (>) feature that indicates the "level" of comments ... if used properly, but this notoriously gets scrambled by the mentioned services. About "tags" in the subject line ... well perhaps. Those with advanced mail programs could then filter out all posts that don't contain the "MF) But a separate site is the best. Waiting for Horse's comment on that. > I also like the idea of thread maintenance by the thread creators > taking responsibility for keeping their threads clean. Well, good intention, but ... > If adopted, I can see a bunch of mini focus groups being formed, yet > not excluding others and inviting serious comment anytime. It's the burden of (as I do as to be able to do other things) downloading sixty-seventy-eighty ++ posts each morning. There are interesting things I would have liked to comment, but they are buried for good beneath the rubble. Bo before > > yet wouldn't it be > > worth trying again? Either way you meant it, I think the Village > Elders are very important to the tribe and I'd miss you. It was the second option, my move causing no one else moving there, but thanks for your kind remark.
