The SOL is unassailable and when it can't be refuted people turn
mean. For instance Ron and Andre with their once creepy "agreement
with Bo" and then with equal creepy psychological attacks, Bo just
defending some cerebrity position ...etc.

Well, it can be helped, when you can't win the ball, attack the player.

Hi Bo and all,

Evolution as levels in existence creates a moral hierarchy. Imho the social
level is out of place in the hierarchy Pirsig proposes. As I read the above
description of the social level I surmise an anthill or beehive as the model
for a level of instinctive motivation migrating intact to a level of
conscious motivation without first considering the evolution of the
conscious individual in a family. The analogy from instinctive behavior of
ants and bees does not translate to the conscious behavior of a social
individual sentient except analogously. I don¹t think metaphysics is about
analogies.

I think the motivation from evolution in the consciousness of the individual
sentient moving to an indefinable emotional level from an organic level has
a better chance of controlling his environment through a conscious decision
rather than appealing to an analogy of mechanical instinct found in a
beehive or anthill.
