Yet, she was opposed by a fellow female "native" Muslim who doubted this development and pointed to second generation young Muslims who turned more pious than their parents and demanded all rules and regulations to be observed or worse decides to become martyrs like the London bombers.. There is also a Swiss - Tariq Ramadan - who predicts such a Euroislamic development and says that they must respect democracy and become normal citizens of their country. Only this shows the peculiar role the Muslim casts themselves in - uncannily like the Jews who never are Americans, Swiss, Norwegians ... whatever, but primarily remain Jews, this seems to be a fate to be repeated by the Muslims and proves my "Semitic" theory. This is very unlike nother immigrant groups. After the communist take-over a lot of Vietnamese came to this country and they clearly are of IndoChinese origin - their names and looks tell - but no trouble, they may have an altar at home for all I know but no conspicuous signs of being "different". This goes for other immigrants from that region, Tamils, Thais, Burmese and Chinese. While the few Jews who are left are still primarily Jews. The Semites are unassimilable for the reason that the secular/religion schism is their EVIL The moment they become national subjects they are no longer themselves and if Islam is to evolve into the said Euroislam - become a mere faith - it has lost its power. Iit's the fate of Christendom in the West that scares the ... out of the Al Qaedians. And this is not the first time, around year 1000 - while Europe still was in the grip of he Dark Ages - there emerged Sultans and Kalifs who hosted thinkers and scientists and because secularism - thinking outside of religion - is a deadly danger there emerged the "Order of Asasssins" who eradicated the budding science and philosophy and sent the region back to square one. It looks as if each time secularism threatens, Islam spawns some movement that removes the danger. That all this is an intellectual value versus social value struggle example goes without saying . The South East Asians slipping so easily into other cultures is their having transcended both the social and intellectual levels and entered the Quality Stage is just as obvious. .
