Well something's wrong here, because you actually are making some sense for
a change.

I don't think anybody laments objectivity.  It's objectivity as the basis of
all that is objectionable - (heh-heh.  "object"ionable)

I do  think there is much more than mere "hinting" at something beyond in
Pirsig's writing.  I believe a profound and eloquent argument has been made
for the "something beyond."

But I certainly agree with your "achievment of modernity" statement.  That
was the crux of my earlier posting concerning the baby/bathwater analogy.

I also think the great utility and profound significance of the MoQ, is it
does let us sort of "eat the cake AND have it".. I mean, I'm not even sure
what this means, but it seems to fit what's in my brain.    And
Kindergardners don't need more than a feeling to be happy.
