Let me clarify Platt,

I'm not confusing the intellectual level with thinking.  It'd be closer to
say I'm  confusing the intellectual level with thinking about thinking, but
that's not the whole thing either.  Merely thinking about thinking is an
intellectual activity, but an intellectual pattern must be "sq'ed" somehow.

Thinking about thinking is the first step in formulating a theory about
thinking, and writing it down or making a song and passing it along to your
children and others.  When the thoughts about thoughts have been formalized
into a persistent and transferrable pattern, we have a 4th level pattern
phenomena.  That's what I'd call, "intellectual".   But as I've said before,
I think the 4th level would be easier to pin down and less confusing for
newbies if we called it the "philosophical level".

And now we've discussed the obvious (to me anyway) for the one hundred and
FIRST time.
