You'll find on this discussion list that we talk a lot about Pirsigs
work and, as Ian says, there are various interpretations of his work. Bo
has his own interpretation (the SOL), which he will bombard you with at
some point if you agree with certain areas of Pirsigs work, but you
should know right from the outset that it (the SOL) is Bo's
interpretation and is not a view held by the vast majority on this list
or by Pirsig himself, who has specifically disagreed with Bo
interpretation.
Pirsig's work is open to interpretation and each person has their own
view of how it all fits together - I'm sure you do as well. Not a
problem - that's why this list exists - to allow people to discuss the
Metaphysics of Quality and related subjects.
As metaphysics is part of the body of philosphical works and needs to be
seen within that body we also discuss other philosophers work and other
philosophical areas mainly in relation to Pirsig and the Metaphysics of
Quality. Sometimes it can get technical and some on this list don't seem
able to keep up with that so rather than just get on with their own
ideas they complain about others because they either don't understand it
or it doesn't happen to fit in with their views! Crazy but true :)
Anyway, welcome to moq_discuss and join in, ask questions or whatever
any time you feel like doing so.

Its the flat part of Belgium.
That Pirsig was here is very sure.Not only he was in Ghent , also Liege(Luik)
he ported.
He was told to get out of Belgium at Liege due to some legal documents issue.
I know for sure that the portmasters are logging all vesselmovements at any
time, real time.Even a vessel only used for recreation purposes, not moving
around.
Problem is , these are not Public records. Maybe i will try to find a way
around this.
The possible data are very interesting to me me.
About this not speaking of Pirsigs ideas in the moq-discussion,is this a
group-protocol, a concensus,...special reason? if i may ask?
