That Craig is the Hofstader "brain in a vat" thought experiment -
gradually replacing extended nervous system components with devices of
various kinds.

Assuming it keeps "functioning" - why would you assume consciousness
to be lost ?
The point of that thought experiment incidentally is to keep asking
"where am I ?" ... when does my brain stop being "I" ?
