Authors in an esoteric tradition like Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Nicoll, Collin, Bennett etc., describe evolution in 7 levels. I accept the 7 levels since they are for me reminiscent of the musical scale. Individualization of reality at each interval for manifestation can be described in an active, passive, or neutral configuration. The 1 of mathematics is neutral. I suppose there could never be a mathematics of metaphysics. In manifestation there are three characteristics possible for each step active, passive, or neutral. I find the DQ/SQ description of individuation in conception and logic convincing.
