Hi Andy, welcome to the lunatic bin. 12 July you wrote:

Thanks for you concise question, but I don't know if I'm allowed to answer it, I've been accused of "attacking" newcomers with my SOL (now SIM)) - something akin to Socrates' "seducing the youth" ;-) - but you seem a mature person. IMO the MOQ IS the strong interpretation, the weak one is lame, tame and good for nothing.. And all is about the intellectual level: The "weak interpretation" (WIM) says it corresponds to the mental compartment (that SOM calls) "mind", while the "strong interpretation" (SIM) says it corresponds to the former SOM (i.e SOM stripped of the "M") so you will see that the WIM postulates a smooth transition from SOM - an expansion of rationality - while the SIM postulates a total break with SOM - and expansion of reality. Now to your question: The MOQ by SIM explains just about everything it is directed at, most impressive is its dissolution of the MIND/ MATTER paradox (you know M/M is an offspring of the S/O) but more pressing is its harmonizing of MOQ's internal paradoxes. See, the 4th. is a static level and the levels are supposed to "control" its parent level, and by no stretch of imagination can the "mind"-intellect be seen to rise above the social level (people of old did think too ..no?) while intellect-as-SOM meet all these criterias. A more sensitive issue is the "political" - anathema to this forum - but intellect as SOM has now "won the West" and - as is the level's wont - will turn to the part of the world still social-value-run and that's clearly the Muslim Middle East and hence the Islam vs West conflict. No small feat to resolve an enigma this size. I don't know if the MOQ does anything good, it is very much like Quantum Physics, it just explains and predicts everything faultlessly, but does not really advice WHAT to do. Yet, that goes a long way with me - a credible explanation is everything - when I read ZAMM in its time - and understood what the SOM was in a Q context - its power was broken and I was free. OK, enough for now.
