Marsha and Platt Marsha: > Yes, you seem correct to my way of thinking. I don't see how it can > be otherwise. The MoQ is a shift in world-view so great in difference > from the SOM world-view that it makes the split between social and > intellectual levels dwarf in comparison.
Platt: > Exactly. That's why Pirsig compared the MOQ to the Copernican > revolution that brought about a complete change of reality, the sun > replacing the earth as the center of the universe. We are still > feeling the reverberations from that cataclysmic shift of reality. Phew good to be among people who have seen the enormity of the MOQ. The Copernican revolution just says it, I see that Krimel compares it with some technological invention - the telephone - but what it means is much the same as the in-out turn of the metaphysical sock, everything is the same yet all is changed. And yes, Marsha, the social-intellectual shift was a tall order - far from completed - but the Intellect (SOM) - MOQ shift will dwarf it. See even this discussion hasn't all grasped it, then imagine the resistance when the enormous SOM-academic juggernaut is confronted. It (SOM) has already enlisted DMB and McWatt to bring the MOQ back to SOM-land. Thanks you two. Bodvar .
