See, the whole point of intellectual quality is to explore our reasons for having certain values
in this reflection it is the aim to solidify those values which we hold most meaning with consistant clear explanation and alter those values which we can not support with such explanation. It doesent make those values right or wrong but it does clarify why we hold them. The whole idea is to learn something about ourselves in the process. By holding certain values rigidly without any explanation you are really cheating yourself out of an opportunity to learn more about yourself. Being so concerned with right and wrong is self defeating considering the spirit in which this forum was created. -Ron ----- Original Message ---- From: X Acto <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, September 17, 2010 7:40:19 AM Subject: Re: [MD] How far do you go to preserve individual life? Platt, The matter with these sorts of posts you like make is that they lack any discussion on your part. You feel the way you do. Thats it. Your reasons are your own. So what. The posts are obviously designed to provoke, end of subject. You do not further any sort of discussion much less a philosophical one. These posts of yours say one thing "This is how I feel and I don't need to explain why". so I say again, what the hell do expect us to say? there is really nothing to say about a statement like that. In order to have discussions, especially one of any sort of philosophical merit, one must provider explanations as to why they feel that way. It's not that your subjectmatter isn't worth discussing it's your style of tactical debate or lack therof. It makes these posts fruitless banter, taking up archival space. theyre not much more than cheap advertisements. -Ron Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org/md/archives.html Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org/md/archives.html
