Mark: Steve, spirituality is not rational. Rationality has no place in it. You have got no idea what you are talking about. What is rational about thinking a painting is beautiful? Sure you can put a bunch of adjectives in, but they are just adjectives. What is rational about thinking that pointillism is wonderful? Are you of the materialist variety that thinks that spirituality can be explained through neurochemistry? I do not believe this was Pirsig's dream. I think you are being misled.
