I thought all thinking was, according to you, "SOM"-based? Are you
now suggesting there are non-SOM patterns of thinking?
As for your general tone, though, your accusations that DMB
represents "in-the-box SOM thinking" is at complete odds with
Pirsig's own appraisal of DMB's understanding of his ideas. I'll take
Pirsig's word that DMB gets it.
