Suppose you are in the wilderness & starving.  The only possible "things" to 
eat are 2 fungi.  Your field
 guidebook says that one is an edible mushroom, the other a toxic toadstool.  
What will you do?
Even though you "think" there is a false boundary between mushroom & toadstool, 
you will eat only the mushroom.
As Pirsig says: "If you can't generalize from the data, there is nothing else 
you can do with it either."
