Steve, Matt (and DMB) My point - the value I attempted to add to the conversation - Steve and Matt, is a suggested focus on which of these views is "worth" anything, not about their either/or logic, which is a (linguistic) red-herring.
In your direct question below. A yes in logical theory, BUT moot, worthless, no quality, no value experienced - not knowledge B no, BUT this is just a question of the quality / goodness of the justification in the first place. The "FUND" sum total of justifications (value) experienced. (See DMB's latest Jamesian post.) Knowledge value is that holistic goodness, quality experienced. It's not a matter of (accidental / uncomprehending) conflation of the "A / yes / but and B / no / but" distinction, but a choice about any value in the distinction.
