With regards to my own interaction with Caryl Johnston, they
extended primarily over first these two posts:

http://meta-q.blogspot.com/2012/01/in-search-of-quality.html
(re-posted, but originally from 2007)
http://meta-q.blogspot.com/2007/12/note-on-english-admirers-of-pirsig.html

Ian and I both left comments on those two posts. After my
comment on the latter post, she wrote this:

http://meta-q.blogspot.com/2007/12/responding-to-m-kundert.html

Dave left a comment on that post, and I wrote a post-reply on my
site:

http://pirsigaffliction.blogspot.com/2007/12/philosophical-antiauthoritarianism.html

She then wrote this, where I left the longest effing comment I've ever
seen in my life (I think most site's forbid that kind of length now):

http://meta-q.blogspot.com/2008/01/response-to-m-kundert-round-ii.html

On political valence, I think Dave was right, she's on the conservative
side, and in particular, on a religious valence, if I remember aright she
had interests in combining a Christian spirituality with Pirsig (similar to
Sam Norton's once-aspirations, though I think he was less conservative
in angle). On a philosophical valence, she also saw pragmatism (as
comes out in the exchanges above) as an enemy, not an ally. So
perhaps, again as Dave perceives, you would think kindly of her thought.

She wrote smart stuff. I thought it was too bad when she more or less
abandoned that particular site.
