Yes, I have read of this scale as told by Ouspenski, concerning the
teachings of Gurdjieff (In Search of the Miraculous).  I found it
fascinating but a bit difficult.  Having said that, I have found some
of what he taught interesting and have adopted it with my own
rhetoric.  I suppose it is as many levels as it takes.  String theory
keeps bouncing around between different numbers of dimensions needed
to make the math meaningful.
