Marsha, the 'picky' ;-) to Andre:

Hate to be picky, but I was wondering where there is a quote provided. It
seems you offer mostly you own personal paraphrasing, which is not a quote.

Andre:
'dissolved' is the term Ron used and I repeated it.

'REsolved' is the term Pirsig used in the statement:
'The Metaphysics of Quality has much much more to say about ethics, however,
than simple resolution of the Free Will vs. Determinism controversy'. (LILA, p
160, Bantham Press hardcover copy, 1991)

I emphasised the 'RE' to distinguish from the 'dis', which Ron used.

'But to the extent that one follows Dynamic Quality, which is undefinable,
one's behavior is free'. This quote also from LILA same page, just above the
aforementioned statement.

'It seems to me that to equate 'freedom' with 'follow static choices as we
like'...' Ron used this and I repeated it.

'The MOQ points to the possibility of freedom which is 'determined' ...to the
extent that one follows DQ'.

I used the single punctuation marks '' with 'determined' to indicate a 'figure
of speech', a 'for want of another/better word' as I am reluctant to assign any
'activity' onto DQ. For me DQ simply is.

Happy now Marsha?
