I feel like your a caring guy and an MoQ friend of mine, yes.

Uh... what? Make amends to whom? California? She started it. It wasn't
my fault that she went all crazy with real estate speculation and a housing
boom which built up the numbers of contractors way beyond what were really
needed and so that now that the bubble has burst, we have 150 guys with
experience and trucks and tools bidding on every scrap they can find, and
there aren't many scraps at that...

Meanwhile, I hear that according to the New York Times, Williston North
Dakota has the busiest McDonalds in the country. And while the owner of the
restaurant refutes that, I've seen the non-stop double line for the drive
through, backed all the way out onto Hwy 2 (also known as Millionaire's Row)
and I can attest that some kind of crazy boom is happening here.

Well, that's true. In fact, it's kinda weird with me, but I get a lot more
appreciation when I'm gone than when I'm actually "there" all the time.
People like my memory, I guess. More than my actual presence - has been my
experience. But that's true, I can always go back. And am! In fact, for a
couple of weeks. A home visit, and a side job. An old client called and
it'll be like a working vacation, and the really great thing, is we'll be
able to squeeze in our annual family vacation to Santa Cruz beach and
boardwalk. woo!hoo! I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoy that ocean air more
than I ever have before in my life! But that doesn't mean smelling this
prairie air is bad, neither. I tend to enjoy my life, wherever I'm living
it.

Don't know what *your* problem is... probably more of that projection
thing. It's catching, I hear.
