Steve:
I said that I think more needs to be done to explicate love, empathy,
and compassion in MOQ terms and cited a quote where Pirsig agrees and
you say "that's just an idiotic criticism." Your defensiveness is so
strange to me. It isn't even a criticism that I was making unless you
can take it as a criticism that Pirsig didn't write three other books.

Plus, even if it had been a criticism it would have been a criticism
of the MOQ, of _Pirsig's_ philosophy not yours. In fact, my suggestion
is something I would think might make sense for someone with academic
aspirations to pick up and run with. Certainly no academic can make a
career out of merely parroting what Pirisg already said without making
any contributions. At the very least I would think that it wouldn't
serve any good to try to shut down conversation on any aspect of
Pirsig's work or work yet to do on following Pirsig's lines of
thinking.
