position through the sky and as ones visual perspective and context
changes. Even moving ones head changes the experience."

Marsha,

I think you're confusing concepts by intuition with concepts by postulation (as
per Northrop) and also confusing the terms of Newtonian
mechanics with the static-Dynamic division of the MOQ.

For instance, the sun is a concept by postulation. One of its static/stable
patterns is that it "moves position through the sky" every day. The
yellowy-orange patch (i.e. a concept by intuition) which can be observed in the
blue of the aesthetic continuum (at certain times during a clear day) is
thought to correlate to this (postulated) object. (Isn't Arlo finishing a
project on an e-version of Northrop's "The Meeting of East & West", btw?)

Marsha continued February 4th:

"And I thought the MOQ was to change the everyday understanding from one
of self and objects to one where the world is nothing but value. I
didn't think it was to keep the everyday mundane understanding in a
static state of ignorance."

Ant McWatt comments:

As with the post of Dan's that I recently responded to, this type of statement
worries me. Isn't the primary use of the MOQ to improve the Quality of your
life? There's just a certain limit that pondering from the Dynamic perspective
of the World of Buddhas is going to take you. It ain't going to fix yer bike!

Thanks for the tip with the tea, by the way. The Golden Monkey tea that you
recommended will be next purchase tea-wise; even if I have to buy it over the
Internet.

Best wishes,

Ant
