Neuroplasticity is amazing stuff indeed. Alot is possible by those means. I
read a story the other day about a 28 year old woman born without a
cerebellum. She had moderate trouble navigating and such but the amount of
compensation was truly extraordinary. I always recall the end of LILA and
his mention of light and halo's and such being prevalent through different
parts of the world being associated with knowledge or insight. I've always
had a side question of whether theres something neurological to that too.
It would be interesting if there was a cause of that universal notion. I
just enjoy what Im studying and I try to keep my philosophy straight while
I do so. The study you mentioned reminds me of one thing I learned about
bilingual speakers having a certain part of their brain activate for
language in the right side that doesn't usually get activated with only a
primary language pattern. This artist seems to have used alternate parts to
function like other parts would have, but more in the way that associating
two languages would be rather than directly plasticized. So its possible
that theres some overlap between left/right and the alternate form of that
artists functions. Like the artist Pirsig mentions that drew the light in
that extrasensitivity-based way. It all seems to fit with me, but I need to
work on my words and make sure I mean what I say. I like what one english
teacher said to me, "where there's too much, something's missing"\
