Struan - the only reason I added to my "play nice" was in response to
your statement that all you did was tell him to pick up his toys.
Just wanted to share that it's not just the words that we use that
can
be insulting, but the tone as well. I got the impression from Rich's
posts that he knew he was being insulting (hard to miss when ya call
someone a wanker) - still doesn't excuse it which is why I asked both
of ya to play nice. Makes it more enjoyable to read your posts when
I
don't have to deal with the tone. Nothing personal against you.
Also, I've always felt the quote "Take heed what you hear; the
measure
you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given
you." (Mark 4:24). was more in resonse to how we shall be treated by
God (if you so believe) than as a guideline as to how we should live.
The book you quoted from also has lines referring to judging not,
lest
ye yerself be judged and love your neighbor as yourself. Food for
thought.
