Interesting about the violin experiences .......
I've had the same experience a couple of times in really good
(there's that word again!) gigs, where I seemed to not be aware of what
I've played, but my fingers have just 'gone where it sounded good'. I
have a tape of one gig I did with a band about 10 years ago, and I love
the solo I played, but I can't work out how I played it!
I do remember that it was a very rushed gig - we turned up late and had
to set up without soundcheck and 'just do it'. Maybe that was the
necessary catalyst to 'allow the DQ to flow' ;o)
