SA you asked "Where's Platt coming up with these arguments against global warming?" I say, any idiot can come up with arguments against "case proven". That's the problem with simplistic thinking - it's the easier kind for idiots (ie logical postivists) - and being easy to understand is an advantageous property for a low quality memeplex (SOMism, logical postivism, western rationality, etc.) People who understand the complex interconnectedness of causality have a much better grip on reality. That's an intellectual elitist view the MoQ supports. Let's use it. The main value in the simpletons clamouring around the argument, is to remind us to avoid degenerative paths of action - eg from intellectual elitism in a free sociaty to towards social totalitarianism, etc .. the lessons of history / our time (delete as appropriate).
