Boy, you can say that again. I just looked at a list of programs that start
up on my computer at boot up. (Note the use of the geek word "boot" instead
of the plain English "start.") I defy anyone who isn't a geek to understand
what those programs do from their names.

[Case]
I fully support taking computers away from people without the wit to use
them. If your system is loading lots of programs at start-up they are
probably scumware. You get then from practicing unsafe websurfing and from
crap your computer maker puts on to "enhance" your computing experience.

Boot comes from boot strap as when the computer starts it is lifting itself
up by its boot straps. A good conservative like yourself should love than
one.
