[Platt] If we captured them on the high seas, yes. [Arlo] And you assume this to be the case? You don't think maybe the Brits got caught in an act of espionage? Would they (or us) admit it if they had? I'm not sure what's going on here, but I am not so quick to just assume "our side" or "their side" of the story, to the point of risking war. But I ask myself, what benefit would it be to Iran to go into open waters and kidnap British soldiers? This would be like asking for the US and British to invade their country. On the other hand, what benefit would it be to Britain (and the US) to conduct espionage on Iran? Which is the more likely scenario? Us spying on them and getting caught? Or them attempting to get us to invade them?
[Platt] So food, shelter and clothing ought to taxpayer provided, too? [Arlo] I have no problem with my tax dollars providing basic food staples. Nor do I have a problem with tax-supported shelters or even tax-subsidized loans for the poor to get basic housing. Now I assume you'll try to make this into lobster tails and mansions for everyone, but that's not the case. moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
