Ben Many thanks for the article.
We have been through this sort of discussion before, here is a recap of something I posted a while back. I am a photographer, and when I am showing my stuff, I have people walk by my display, smile nod and go on. Until they see the 3/4 page article on the front of the Spotlight section. They stop, look at the article, and now that the work has been VALIDATED, will go back and look at the rest of the work, come buy to talk and so on. this is a snippet from the article and it sums it all up. =========== IF A GREAT MUSICIAN PLAYS GREAT MUSIC BUT NO ONE HEARS . . . WAS HE REALLY ANY GOOD? It's an old epistemological debate, older, actually, than the koan about the tree in the forest. Plato weighed in on it, and philosophers for two millennia afterward: What is beauty? Is it a measurable fact (Gottfried Leibniz), or merely an opinion (David Hume), or is it a little of each, colored by the immediate state of mind of the observer (Immanuel Kant)? ========== Many thanks Ben. We had Andrea bochelli show up here a couple of years ago. People wanted to hear him so badly, they paid $175 to be behind the stage and curtains.
