Argh, 183 utterly pointless mails to trawl through, hello Platt, hello Ian, did
you have a nice easter holiday?

The "newspapers" concerned are no more than comics, I found a copy on a train
on the way into london yesterday and the "full story" was sandwiched between
topless photographs and mindless celebrity gossip.

These types of publication will always print whatever they like with or without
an "exclusive interview" from some poor meidia pawn. Can't say I'm outraged,
more indifferent.
Average Joe in the street doesn't want in depth analysis of the diplomatic
chess that went on behind the scenes, he wants to feel self righteous and
"outraged" at the evil foreigner. This is just the mindless pap is that sells
newspapers.

Should the army censor it? Dont think they can, pretty sure they have no
control over the media, individual soldiers really aren't that well paid and if
they want to earn a few quid prostiting themselves to rupert murdoch, cant say
that I really see the harm.

Theres as much value in applying the MOQ to this non-issue as there is in
reading the articles - none.

Just to humor you though, I would say that the entire incident is within the
social level.
