Private schools are exempt from your president's No Child Left behind 
Act. They do not have to serve the disadvantage or the disabled. It 
truly surprising when they do not out score the public schools as 
they did in the 2003 version of the report.

Yes, it is. I think what this report demonstrates is that when align 
contextual factors scores are pretty even, with the edge going to 
public schools. Previous reports likely skewed findings by virtue of 
the fact that "private schools" may have simply conglomerated 
"successful" students from outlying public schools. Again, this 
demonstrates that the "public/private" debate may have little impact, 
when the much more meaningful contextual issues are considered.
