[Case]
If so it is a pretty sketchy map. More like a sketch of what such a map
might look like. But look at these threads. Every one seems to be
pointing at the map but can't even agree on which way is north.
[Ron]
Pirsig saw in Bohrs' Complimentrarity (many truths), aspects of the MOQ.
The problem with the north
Analogie is Quality is north but which way is that? Pirsig leads me to
believe that the whole casaba Is about deriving a "value" from many
truths. Nothing more static than that. Where "value" is the assumed
"mean" thereby retaining a dynamic within a static form. To assume an
absolute north Would be killing it's dynamic aspect and render it less
accurate.
[addition]
This got me to thinking about a commonly stated quote on this forum,
"what does this have to do
With the MOQ?" Pirsig tells us that Quality is responsible for every
aspect of reality...so
rationaly speaking, anything anybody has to say is about Quality, right?
Subject Object metaphysics has become an unconscious process. All Pirsig
is doing with MOQ is
Say "hey!" this is what our minds are doing to us! With this in mind
lets put this process to
More accurate use! Instead of simplifying and generalizing using past
experience lets focus on
the experience itself for it yields a more accurate perception.
