Hi Mati, You said "When the sun sets there is very little actual life lost to this struggle of these values."
That may be true from the domestic perspective, but dare I suggest that's because the US exports its wars rather than host them on home turf ? And I could even mention gun laws and mass killings ;-) Anyway ... Why "Ask not" ... ? In same same way as JFK (and Sachs) phrased the question I'm making a distinction between A positive pragmatism - we can and should do something positive, and this is what I'm going to do ... progress evolves, starting with tending our own gardens ... the I and we "collaborative" perspective ... and A negative pragmatism - a kind of self-fulfilling destructive skeptical cynicism, that says it'll never happen, I'm only going to do something when "they" do, and even then it will only be in response to what "they" do, and even then only if the case is "proven" ... the us and them "adversarial" persective ... etc. Ian moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
