Hi Krimel

My thoughts are, that you cant ask a computer a question in English/Program
language and necessarily expect to get an answer from the emergent
consciousness that may reside, more likely what your going to get is a dumb
linear response based on your own prior inputs, which as I say is analogous to
the biological level of the conscoiusness responding. You'd just be poking its
flesh seeing the skin turn red.

My suggestion would be to look at the interractions between seperate machines,
perhaps scan the total electrical taffic that goes between them and analyse the
patterns present. I expect that with a reverse engineering approach of
everything present, methodically subtracting the known user applied elements
from the overall noise, you could look for emergent overlaid patterns that are
unassociated with defined programs. Its the "ghost in the machine" that you'd
be looking for, but annoyingly I think the computing power required to
accurately scan and digitally map electromagnetic noise to the required detail
and at the required rate would be the same or greater as/than would be required
in applying the same methodology to a human brain.
