SA,
we're on the same page, this thread and the other ..I'm suffering
from"the more you
try to explain it the farther you get from it" syndrom. beautiful day
here, rode the motorbike
in to work today, clear breezy 68 degrees a high quality morning for
this student of life.

"The aims of zazen are three: (1) development of the power of
concentration, (2) satori-awakening, and
(3) actualization of the Supreme way in our daily lives."
By (1) then wisdom(which is 2) naturally arises, and then (3) is
realized/practiced in our lives.
"This is more than the ability to concentrate in the usual sense of
the word. It is a dynamic power which, once mobilized, enables us even
in the most sudden and unexpected situations to act instantly, without
pausing to collect our wits, and in a manner wholly appropriate to the
circumstances... such people are able to move with real freedom and
equanimity."
In other words - just concentrate. It takes practice. It is about
being nimble, flexible, and
open to current events, etc...
(above quotes from: "The Three Pillars of Zen" By Philip Kapleau
Zen Master founder of Zen Center in New
York)
Does this help?
