[Micah]
On an individual basis when I die reality, for me, no longer exists and what
could exist for others is unknowable to me and irrelevant.

[Krimel]
That is the most concise expression of the obscenity of Randian Objectivism
I have heard yet. You live in your own world; but it certainly is relevant
to me what happens to my children and grandchildren. I may or may not know
what happens to them after my death but it matters now and to live otherwise
is for me unthinkable. The Virtue of Selfishness, the squandering of natural
resources, the spewing of filth into the world, these are the products of a
childish and foolish system of thought.

I am the current iteration of a process that has continued for four billion
years. I didn't light the fire but I hope to help keep it burning.

But hey, if that's your world, I am happy to just be a figment in it.

[Micah]
When all humans are gone, reality itself will no longer exist. That does not
imply that humans control reality, just that reality exists only in the
presence of humans.

[Krimel]
Aren't you a little old to be clinging to the sensorimotor stage. I hate to
be the one to break it too you but when the ball goes behind the box it
really is still there.

[Micah]
To say reality exists independent of humans would require humans to exist
outside of reality, that is not possible...although it is constantly the
basis of many statements made here.

[Krimel]
Do you pound the table with your shoe while you write this nonsense? Or did
you mean this for the Yoga thread next door and it is some kind of mantra
for you?
