Its not that the fine arts are to be excluded, of course. The idea, I think, is to bring the kind of creative engagement and interpretive freedom that traditional associated with the fine arts and export that same attitude and process to everything else we do. The ZAMM quote Arlo recently posted describes it in mystical terms (tat tvam asi) and 1970s slang ("getting with it" and "grooving on it"). It seems then that art is not a process nor the artifacts produced by artists so much as a state of being.
