Like you, I consider "oops" (and "AHA!") to be genuine, and hardly
derogatory to the human condition. Indeed, as Steve Johnson makes the
case, it is far more exciting and value-laden than the "I need to be the
planned, zenith-residing creation of an external force" crowd.

 I'm drawn to the idea of the responsibility falling on my shoulders in
my 3lb version of the universe.
I don't dis the intelligent design side,but it seems like we are
projecting ourselves on the universe..
sort of like how Disney cartoons portray animals with human traits, or
we see figures in clouds.
I agree with Steven Johnson, this idea serves to make it all the more
special.
