[Platt] You were doing so well -- up until the last paragraph. Constantly amazed at your rabid intolerance of any views but your own, assigning devious motives to others but blithely ignoring those you have. But then again . . . :-)
[Arlo] You reap what you sow. I have no intolerance for views that are different from mine, as anyone who can read the archives or has followed my posts knows. What I have NO tolerance for is your despicable rhetoric, so why start down a road that I know will end there? For the record, I never said the Amish represent exactly what Marx envisioned, I just offered them as one example of communal life that comes close, in many respects, to what Marx wrote. I've also said, in the archives for anyone to see, that the Amish represent much closer to what Jesus had envisioned than the mainstream of Christianity. (By the way "much closer" does not mean "exactly"). And, I offered this one example (something Marx would have called "proto-communism, by the way) in response to your insipid barrage of "Marx wanted a world of tyranny and dictatorships" along with the usual "Arlo is anti-freedom" rhetoric. So you wonder why you get "rabid intolerance"? Its because your rhetoric is intolerable (not to mention embarrassing and shameful). And the only way to deal with this is by calling it what it is. moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
