Like all static (social) patterns mores and taboos on nudity arose for
some quality reason, some of them biological .... but the whole point
about recognising them as static social patterns is that they be
challenged from above intellectually, even from within socially.

But challenge does not mean total destruction in one fell swoop - one
vote for or against - what a fatuous concept. The patterns evolve. We
can all be "shocked" by nudity even if we're not prudes ... it just
indicates we experience it outside prevailing patterns, and we would
instantly question motives. Nude Macbeth has obvious "challenging"
motives rather than being an end in itself.

Pornography subjective ? ... for the individual yes, for an individual
within a society ... another social pattern, to be challenged etc, but
not ignored.

Damned if you do, damned of you don't per Lila ? That damned Catch-22
again - do neither I say.
