What I don't understand is when this a
contributor left and Ron almost did. The one left due
to Platt's arguments. I kept saying skip his points
and move on in the discussion with those that are
interested and want to expand the discussion into
greater intellectual depth, but this person got
hung-up on the argument with Platt. It was a female's
name that left. I don't know why she couldn't just
skip Platt's responses and go on to the others that
did try to talk with her - not against her. Ron you
almost left once as well. What was it? I don't
understand the need to discuss with Platt, especially
if there are others that are trying to discuss with
you, then those that are trying to discuss with you
are left out of the discussion, pushed aside, to focus
on those we disagree with. If everybody just kept
discussing with those that want to expand the
intellectual patterns in agreement, then Platt would
just be a side bar voice roppin' and ravin' with bait
that needs changed over and over again as he wonders -
why won't any fish bite, hmmmm, let me try this lure,
nah, this one... Well, whatever... I haven't seen
what I've said directly experienced here, so what do I
know.

This is the trapping of the culture. People join
without a way to by-pass those they disagree with.
They don't know how to handle it. Again, why people
can't like what they like, and dislike what they
dislike and therefore stick with what they like - I
just don't get it. It's not only up to us. You tried
to convince them to stay and I'm sure you gave them
reasons. I've discussed with some on this site, that
female I mentioned, in which I said ignore Platt and
move on with what YOU want to move on with, but they
were so distracted by Platt and his comments they
couldn't let it go. It's not only up to us, but
really, with good reason given, by you and me at one
time, if they can't understand reason and understand
what's being said to them directly by you and me,
then... do you get it?
As to the question you want Platt to answer. Is
it really that important of a question? Is it really
that important that we depend on Platt's answer for
this question? Can't we decide for ourselves?
