Dear Nathalia,
In reference to what everybody has said, I think the use of these terms
will depend on what is customary in your local academic circumstances,
plus the criteria of your advisors and/or evaluators of your thesis. At
least here (Argentina), some of them are very concerned that every term
should have a translation to Spanish (even if it means using a
strange-sounding word instead of the well-known terms we're all familiar
with), while others will accept perhaps providing an approximate
translation for these terms when they first appear in the text, and the
use of the English term (in *italics*) throughout the text.
That's probably a good thing to do in the case of *Thin-plate spline*
and *Partial Warps*. The tem Cizalladura (*shearing*) is widely used in
engineering, geology, etc, and common in scientific publications.

Espero que esto te sea útil.
