    I want to add that you should invest in a remote switch recommended
    by your camera model, e.g., Canon RS60 E3, which may cost $20-$30
    exta. It will save you a lot of time during shooting and it is a
    further measure to prevent camera shake, in addition to the tripod,
    which is a must-have!

Of course, I forgot that !. However, i found out that some SLRs, even
entry level, can be controlled via USB cabel. That means that you get to
see "live" on a computer or notebook screen what you are about to shoot
(great for checking alignment of small stuff), you control the shutter
release from the computer, and images are dowloaded directly to your
hard disk.
