Morpheus Java Error

Does the command line java work?
The only program I have to test it on is Morpheus, and the answer is no for
that.
However, typing "java" on the command line does not
produce an error and instead reports the normal list of instructions on how to
use the java command. So, I assume that this means that java works on the
command line.
Am I the only person who
has encountered this problem?

Does the command line "java -version" work? Sounds like it might not be
set up to find Java from the command line. The subsequent errors are
simply misdirection resulting from the first.
By "the program executes when I access it directly", you mean
double-clicking the jar file, right? The GUI part of the OS knows where
java lurks.
A standard java install should take care of this, but you might have to
edit the environment search path. I would try a java reinstall before
messing about with that.
I would be interested in the output of "java -version" when you get it
working.
